The places that the locals go to drink in Thailand are very weird. My buddies and I were exhausted from the events that took place earlier in the day. But we figured that since it was our last day in Thailand, we would go and have a drink. So we met our Thai friends who brought us into this really dark hallway. We were a little disturbed because there was really nothing but a pitch black. The Thais seemed like they had some sort of mutated night vision thing because they walked so confidently. We finally reached this dark little hall. With only candles illuminating the place. Thai music was on heavy rotation. We sat down on this little table and I start wondering to myself.

“Why can’t they at least turn on the lights?”

We ordered whiskey and a couple of beers. It was good. No weird traditional Thai concoction. After awhile of drinking, they all wanted to dance. So the Thais gave a message to the bar and they started playing Hip Hop. It was really funny because everyone stood up at almost the same time to start dancing. There was no dance floor. Just concrete. Time flew by faster than I expected. As we made our way out of the bar, I noticed we were walking through a construction site. That really made me wonder, “ Just where the hell am I?”

We were shopping in the weekend market, also known as Chatuchak. It was a very hot afternoon and everyone was tightly packed into the little alleyways that led to the shops. Of course, there were more tourists than locals. The locals were either working in the market, shopping or were actually beggars. There were plenty of beggars. One of the most incredible sights to me was actually looking at this beggar dragging himself across the road. The road was very hot from the sun and I could not imagine what he was going through. The craziest thing was that no one really cared about him. He just carried on draggin himself across the street. It was a sad sight. I saw one of them through the crowd and as he crawled out of my sight, another 3 more of these beggars crawled across. It is something i will not forget.

So late to post. Now no one responds. Your mysteries will remain unsolved. I think number two is the true story.
